St. Mary's General Hospital in Passaic, NJ is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT exams following physician orders and imaging protocols. Required are a state CT license with fluoroscopy permit, ARRT CT certification, BLS, and strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiology workflows. The role is on-site with competitive pay.

Qualifications

  • Current state Radiology/CT license and fluoroscopy permit, as required by state regulations.
  • ARRT (CT) certification.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification.
  • Knowledge of mobile and stationary radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Proficiency with PACS, radiology information systems, and computer applications.
  • Strong communication, patient care, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Position patients and operate CT imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Assess patients prior to imaging procedures and ensure safety, comfort, and proper identification.
  • Assist Radiologists with diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures as needed.
  • Process, review, and transmit images to PACS for interpretation and storage.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, accreditation requirements, and state and federal regulations.
  • Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to support accurate image acquisition.
  • Monitor and maintain imaging equipment readiness and report operational concerns as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within electronic systems.

Overview

Computed Tomography (CT) TechnologistPay Range: $55.00 per hour

Department: CT Scan

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist performs diagnostic CT examinations in accordance with physician orders and established imaging protocols. Working collaboratively with Radiologists and the interdisciplinary healthcare team, the CT Technologist produces high-quality diagnostic images, ensures patient safety and comfort, and accurately processes and transmits images through the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).

Preferred
  • One (1) or more years of acute care or clinical radiology experience.
  • Previous hospital or diagnostic imaging experience.
  • Experience supporting advanced imaging procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Pay Transparency

St. Mary's General Hospital offers competitive compensation and the current compensation range for this role is $55.00. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
