Job summary

South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers in Texas is seeking a CT Scan Technologist to perform CT procedures, ensure patient safety, manage images, and prepare exam rooms in accordance with department protocols.

You will work under radiologists, verify patient history, obtain consent for contrast, document in systems, and maintain equipment and supplies; certification like CMRT/ARRT CT is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education options include accredited radiology program or associate degree.
• Minimum CMRT certification required; ARRT CT registry preferred.
• Preferred: 2 years CT Technologist experience; Associate Degree in Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic procedures with minimal radiation exposure and maximum image quality.
• Demonstrates competency in CT imaging per radiologist preference and ACR guidelines.
• Consents patients for contrast and obtains surgical history prior to exam.
• Documents procedures and STAT reads per departmental policy.
• Maintains cleanliness and inventory of the lab and restocks supplies; notifies supervisor.
• Follows ACR QC requirements according to guidelines and internal policies.

Education

Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program

Associates or higher degree

CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist by the Texas Medical Board

ARRT registry in CT modality
