Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Cat Scan Technician to provide diagnostic imaging and radiopharmaceutical procedures in a dynamic hospital setting.

This PRN role may require weekday shifts with rotating weekends and holidays, potential work at the Lenoir location, and on-call availability within 30 minutes of notification. Join a mission-driven team delivering patient-centered care across a 355-bed acute care facility.

Qualifications

• Two-year certificate, associate degree or bachelor's degree.
• Current Radiation Operator Certificate in the state.
• Registered by the ARRT in Radiology and CT.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals and other meds per physician orders.
• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Educates patient about procedures, equipment and exams.
• Prepares and administers contrast media within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient condition and reports changes as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Implements safety standards and quality control on equipment.
• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions when needed.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures.
• Analyzes results and addresses image quality issues.
• Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
• On-call availability and responsiveness within 30 minutes for assigned shifts.
