Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, NC is seeking a CT Tech (PRN) to join our imaging team. You will review patient history and orders, educate patients about procedures, prepare and administer contrast within scope, monitor patient status, and position patients for CT scans to ensure high-quality imaging.

Qualifications

• Must have ARRT registration.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope.
• Monitors patient condition and reports changes as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies.
• Implements safety standards and performs quality control on equipment.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and reports equipment malfunctions.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures.
• Analyzes results and identifies image quality issues.
• Takes action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning.
