Job summary

Kaiser Permanente San Leandro Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of the Imaging Services Director and Chief of Diagnostic Imaging. The role operates radiographic equipment to produce diagnostic images and supports physicians in patient care, onsite in San Leandro, CA.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Specialty (CT) OR one year of experience in a Specialty with an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification in that Specialty.
• Ability to perform all general diagnostic and routine fluoroscopic duties on patients of all ages as determined by the employer.
• California Venipuncture and Fluoroscopy certification requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures.
• Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
• Prepares and positions patient for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views.
• Determines exposure factors and operates imaging equipment.
• Operates mobile radiologic equipment in various settings.
• Maintains radiation protection techniques and records.
• Orients new hires and trains students.
• Fills in as necessary in the absence of the Supervising Radiology Technologist.
