Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum two years experience in CT, or one year with ARRT CT certification.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CA Radiologic Technologist licenses: Fluoroscopy and Venipuncture; BLS.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
• Prepare and position patient for imaging procedures.
• Adjust immobilization devices for optimal views.
• Determine exposure factors based on patient size and body area.
• Operate radiographic equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Assist radiologists with fluoroscopy when permitted.
• Prepare images for radiologist review and ensure proper identification.
• Maintain equipment and perform basic repairs when needed.
• Apply radiation protection techniques and maintain records.
