We are seeking a skilled and dedicated FULL TIME DAY ($40/HR) & FULL TIME NIGHT ($42/HR) CT/X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using equipment such as CT Scan and X-ray, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. The CT/X-ray Technician will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Duties:
- Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician orders, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, including CT and PET scan machines when necessary.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Position patients correctly to obtain optimal imaging results while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Review images for quality assurance and assist in the diagnostic evaluation process.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to imaging procedures.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in radiology technology and best practices.
Experience:
- Certification as an X-ray Technician from an accredited program is required.
- Previous experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, diagnostic radiology, and urgent care practices is essential.
- Knowledge of physiology and the ability to perform diagnostic evaluations effectively is highly valued.
- Experience with advanced imaging technologies such as CT and PET scans is a plus.
Essential Job Functions and Duties:
- Position X-ray equipment and adjust controls to set exposure factors, such as time and distance.
- Use beam-restrictive devices and patient-shielding techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
- Position patients on examining tables and set up and adjust equipment to obtain the best view of specific body areas as requested by the physician.
- Process exposed radiographs using film processors or digital imaging methods.
- Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, escort them to dressing and x-ray rooms.
- Provide verbal and/or written instructions and assist patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed.
- Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during scans.
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images.
- Adjust equipment controls to set exposure time and distance according to examination specifications.
- Take X-rays following established radiologic standards and regulations.
- Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and staff.
- Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order and report malfunctions.
- Complete administrative duties, including forms and procedure logs.
- Retrieve radiologic orders and input data into electronic medical records.
- Report the need for radiologic supplies.
- Work alongside Facility Administrator and RAD lead to ensure compliance.
- Serve as backup for clinical team members, controlling patient flow, performing EKG tests, vitals, IV insertions, labs, documenting vital signs, and administering contrast.
- Order and administer IV and oral contrast.
- Clean and prepare patient examination rooms.
- Assist RN and physicians as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain knowledge of radiologic standards, safety, and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies.
- Maintain equipment and perform regular checks.
- Ensure accuracy and thoroughness in work.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
