Join to apply for the Multi Modality Technologist role at CHI.

Position Summary: Performs a variety of specialized technical tasks associated with the operation of MRI and other imaging modalities in an outpatient setting to assist the radiologist in the detection of anatomical abnormalities. This includes general and peripheral vascular ultrasound, Echo, or sonography modalities. The technologist is responsible for daily operations of the outpatient MRI section, patient scheduling, equipment maintenance, reporting equipment failures, and quality assessment (QA). Maintains high medical ethics standards and seeks to enhance knowledge of the field, diseases, and evolving procedures.

Responsibilities

• Utilize customer service techniques to ensure a positive patient care experience.
• Act professionally with internal and external customers to promote a patient-focused environment.
• Perform all tasks related to MRI/CT Tech and CT Tech roles.
• Screen patients for MR safety prior to procedures.
• Administer contrast media as directed and per protocol.
• Evaluate imaging study quality, process images, and label appropriately.
• Participate in patient care exams, including routine, urgent, and emergent requests.
• Verify physician orders and ensure consistency with requested diagnostics.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families about procedures.
• Maintain communication with staff and radiologists for effective workflow.
• Complete image processing, PACs QA, and documentation for records.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate’s degree (preferred).
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in relevant specialties; ARRT (CT) must be obtained within 9 months of hire.
• State of Texas MRT certification, maintained current.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
