Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a CT Technologist to join the imaging team. You will perform diagnostic CT scans, administer contrast, and ensure imaging safety and accuracy while maintaining documentation in PACS and patient records.

The role emphasizes adherence to ALARA principles, patient comfort, and collaboration with radiologists and technologists to deliver high-quality examinations.

Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• ARRT CT certification (CT).
• IEMA Accreditation.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient safety throughout imaging process.
• Produce diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols.
• Apply professional judgment to optimize image quality.
• Review images before exam completion and correct as needed.
• Administer contrast per policy and monitor patients.
• Operate imaging equipment and maintain imaging room readiness.
• Coordinate exam flow and prioritize time-sensitive studies.
• Document exam data in medical records and PACS.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards (ALARA, radiation, MRI, infection control).
• Verify orders and protocol; ensure Right Patient and Right Exam.
• Establish IV access for contrast administration and related lab draws.
