Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT imaging in a patient‑centered environment, keeping safety and radiation protection at the forefront. You will prepare patients, administer contrast per policy, operate the CT scanner, and ensure complete data entry and PACS transfer for radiologist interpretation.

Collaboration with the team is essential. Requirements include ARRT CT, IEMA accreditation, BLS, and graduation from an accredited Radiology Technologist

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• ARRT CT certification.
• IEMA accreditation.
• BLS certification.
• 1 year of experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process.
• Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards.
• Apply professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
• Administers contrast in accordance with policy, including screening for contraindications and patient monitoring.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in medical record and image archive system, including exam set-up, image routing, result availability and charging accuracy.
• Adheres to organizational values, ethical standards, and compliance requirements.
• Ensures a positive patient experience throughout care delivery.
