Job summary

Mohawk Valley Health System seeks a CT Technologist to perform imaging procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist. You will be responsible for patient safety protocols and act as the first-line interface with patients to meet imaging needs.

Responsibilities include proper patient positioning, shielding, device safety, and adherence to aseptic standards while delivering high-quality CT imaging in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• 3 years full time or equivalent CT experience (preferred).
• Licensed by NYS DOH as Radiologic Technologist and ARRT registered (required).
• ARRT CT and injection credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and minimize hazards during imaging procedures.
• Position patients for optimal imaging and provide shielding as needed.
• Assess patient pain and comfort to ensure procedure success.
• Maintain aseptic technique and high standards of care in imaging environments.
• Perform high quality imaging in accordance with prescribed protocols.

Job Summary

Under the direction of a Radiologist, the CT Technologist performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.

Core Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients
• Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly
• Assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure
• Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors
• Practice medical and surgical aseptic procedures
• Perform highest quality imaging consistent with prescribed
• Perform other duties as required.

Education/Experience Requirements

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Preferred:

• 3 years full time or equivalent CT experience

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Required:

• NYS DOH Radiologic Technologist license
• ARRT registry

Preferred:

• ARRT Registry with CT and injection credentials
