Aurora Health Care in Chicago seeks a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT to perform examinations, prepare patients, and collaborate with Radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging. The role requires safety-conscious handling of contrast and adherence to protocols.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, obtaining medical history, and participating in emergency responses when needed. ARRT NMTCB CT certification and BLS are required within the first year of hire.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology is required.
  • ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and ARRT advanced CT within one year of hire is required.
  • BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Examine requests and verify orders with Radiologist before exams.
  • Identify patients and explain procedures; prepare patients and document information.
  • Interview patients to obtain medical history and record on requisitions.
  • Handle exam from start to completion including dictated results.
  • Prep and administer IV contrast per protocols; document type and amount.
