Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a CT Scan Tech to provide quality computed tomography imaging and patient care. The role emphasizes safety, precision, and collaboration with physicians within the NM system.

You will position patients, set parameters, and assist with CT procedures, ensuring ALARA principles and regulatory standards are followed. The position requires ARRT CT certification within one year of hire and Illinois licensure, with CPR-BLS also required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program.
• ARRT Certification required; CT certification within one year of hire.
• CPR-Basic Life Support required.
• IEMA licensure in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Utilizes ALARA principles during examinations.
• Implements radiation protection and safety standards.
• Prepares for and assists the physician in computed tomography procedures, including interventional procedures. Performs reconstruction of CT images.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
