Job summary

Navicent Health Medical Center - CT in Georgia is seeking a CT technologist for a full-time night/weekend program. The role involves CT scanning, patient prep, contrast administration, and collaboration with Radiologists.

Pay ranges from $33.05 to $49.60 per hour with a sign-on bonus eligible and a weekend program in place. Eligible candidates will have ARRT CT certification (or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with CT registry), ARRT radiology certification, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology, or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire, in addition to CPR certification.
• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized accreditedRadiology program.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders for each patient.
• Refer or question orders to Radiologist before performing exam.
• Communicate with ordering providers about discrepancies.
• Identify patients and explain procedures briefly to patients.
• Prepare patients with full explanations and document on worksheets.
• Interview patients for complete medical history.
• Review EMR for pertinent clinical history and docs.
• Record medical history on requisitions and correlate results.
• Assist Radiologist during CT scanning and invasive procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and radiation safety practices.
• Operate radiology computer system to enter orders and charge procedures.
• Document contrast administration in MAR and keep work area organized.
• Rotate shifts, including call back, holidays, weekends.
