Job summary

The CT Technologist at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital provides diagnostic CT imaging with compassionate, timely patient care. You will produce high-quality scans, ensure proper patient positioning, and support radiologists during procedures while maintaining safety and using PACS.

Required ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology, BLS, and state licensure where applicable. Prior CT/Rad Tech experience is preferred; EPIC/EHR and PACS familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred).
• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology (required).
• BLS Basic Life Support (required at hire for certain Mercy Health locations; preferred at hire).
• Advanced CT modality registration with ARRT (preferred, or must obtain within two years).
• State licensure is preferred (unless required by the state).
• 1 year of CT or radiologic technologist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assures image quality and confirms accuracy of patient/procedural data.
• Performs computed tomography procedures.
• Performs required timeouts.
• Positions patients and immobilizes appropriately for CT scans.
• Administers IV contrast agents as prescribed.
• Assists radiologist with biopsies and drainage procedures using sterile techniques.
• Maintains knowledge of CT IT systems (PACS, Radiant).
• Participates in on-call rotations as required.
