Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at Columbia County Medical Center Hospital in Georgia. Technologists are valued clinical professionals and essential members of a collaborative care team.

This full-time role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-CT, a radiology program completion, BLS, and at least 1 year of radiology experience. You’ll perform CT procedures, maintain ALARA standards, and support daily department workflows while

Qualifications

• Education requirements as listed above.
• Minimum 1 year radiology experience.
• ARRT credentials required (Radiography and CT).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently with ALARA principles.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and prep to reduce patient anxiety using AIDET.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol with proper venipuncture technique.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and proceed if needed.
• Document accurately and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and assist with emergencies; restock as needed.
• Organize workflows and support department operations and regulatory compliance.
