Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a CT Imaging Specialist to join our radiology team. You’ll create high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort, serving as the first friendly face patients see during their imaging journey.

You will work with radiologists and physicians, operate CT scanners, manage contrast injectors, RIS, and PACS, and participate in training students. A 12-hour night shift option and a $10K sign-on bonus are available to eligible roles.

Qualifications

• CT certification is required.
• ARRT certification is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology is required.

Responsibilities

• Review imaging orders, confirm patient identity, and explain procedures clearly and compassionately.
• Operate CT scanners, troubleshoot equipment, and use proper positioning techniques to capture top-notch images.
• Handle contrast injectors, RIS, and PACS systems.
• Perform QA testing and ensure compliance with safety standards (OSHA, TJC, DOH).
• Assist radiologists and physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Maintain inventory, rotate stock, and keep your workstation organized.
• Monitor patient well-being before, during, and after procedures, responding calmly to emergencies when needed.
• Educate and collaborate: help train students and build strong relationships with colleagues and patients alike.
