Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT imaging, ensure patient safety, prep and monitor patients, and administer contrast as required. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, adherence to ALARA, and collaboration within the radiology team.

The position is full-time, night shift, with alternating weekends and holidays, based in Palos Park, IL. Requires ARRT CT, IEMA accreditation, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) certification.
• Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Accreditation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient safety throughout imaging, from screening to post‑procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols.
• Applies professional judgment to optimize image quality.
• Reviews images prior to completion and initiates corrective action if quality is not met.
• Administers contrast per policy and monitors patient.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains room readiness.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Documents exam data and results accurately in the record and PACS.
