Job summary

Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA seeks a CT Technologist I for night shifts. The role performs CT and molecular imaging for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes under licensed supervision. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

Required ARRT or NMTCB certification at hire; graduates must obtain ARRT-R or NMTCB before first day. Opportunities to advance to higher levels based on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• ARRT or NMTCB certification required on hire.
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R or NMTCB prior to first day.
• Advancement to level 2 within 24 months for hires after 10 Mar 2024.

Responsibilities

• Ensures correct order is obtained and patient is identified and prepared for exam.
• Uses imaging protocol and ALARA principles to maximize patient safety and care.
• Preparing and/or administering medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Evaluates images for quality and verifies archival storage/transfer of data.
• Educates and monitors students and other health care providers.
• Assists licensed practitioner with interventional CT procedures.
• Performs CT procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.
• Accountable for complying with organization policies and procedures.

Education

Graduate from Specialty Training Program‑Radiologic Technology

Bachelor's Degree‑Related Field of Study (Preferred)

Basic Life Support Certification

Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - NMTCB

NMTCB Radiography (R) - ARRT

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
