Job summary

CareWell Health in East Orange, NJ seeks a skilled Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiography across age groups using standard and portable equipment. You will ensure patient safety, position patients, obtain quality images, document procedures, and communicate findings to the physician.

Requirements include a 2-year AMA-approved certificate or AS/AA.S. in Radiologic Technology, ARRT certification, NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography license, and BLS CPR with at least two years of CT

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 2-year AMA approved Certificate program or A.A.S. degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Certification and a current NJ DEP license in Diagnostic Radiography plus ARRT Certification.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Demonstrated competency in CT Imaging with a minimum of two years’ experience as an X-Ray Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Explaining procedures to patients and answering questions.
• Positioning patients for imaging exams.
• Monitoring patients during exams.
• Producing diagnostic images of soft tissues.
• Using sound waves to obtain images of organs and tissues in the body.
• Administering targeted doses of radiation to the patient’s body to treat cancer or other diseases.
• Administering trace amounts of radiopharmaceuticals to obtain functional information.
