Job summary

The South Shore Health System is seeking an CT Tech Aide to support CT Technologists by managing patient flow and performing reception and clerical duties. The role emphasizes safe patient handling, room readiness, and accurate communication with the CT team.

Key responsibilities include assisting in patient positioning, preparing patients for CT exams, coordinating with nursing staff, and ensuring appropriate documentation and data entry in Epic.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to four (4) years of high school.
• Requires six to twelve (6-12) months’ experience to be fully proficient.
• BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) within 180 days of hire.
• Computer experience and ability to learn scheduling software and word processing applications.

Responsibilities

• Follows all CT Safety Policies.
• Screens patients and reviews clinical history with CT Technologist.
• Greets patients and assists with changing for the exam.
• Assists in sliding patients on and off stretcher and positioning for CT scans.
• Transports patients and performs discharge tasks.
• Acts as resource for nursing staff and support services.
• Handles CT room workflow and daily readiness (supplies, cleanliness, etc.).
