The Research Foundation at Farmingdale State College (FSC) seeks a full-time Counselor for the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP). The CSTEP Counselor will provide academic, career, and personal guidance to students, helping them prepare for internships, research opportunities, and graduate studies.

Responsibilities include coordinating workshops, mentoring programs, and events, while working with campus offices to ensure program compliance and grant requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor''s degree.
• Experience supporting economically disadvantaged students or similar programs.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency with social media platforms, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.

Responsabilités

• Provide academic, career, financial aid guidance, and personal development services to an assigned caseload of students.
• Meet with students individually and in groups to provide guidance and assist with intervention plans.
• Assist students with internships, research opportunities, and post-graduation planning.
• Help students prepare applications for research opportunities, internships, or graduate study.
• Collaborate with campus departments to provide wraparound student services.
