Job summary

Tidelands Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team in the operating room. The CST participates in planning and implementing patient care under the supervision of the Circulating Registered Nurse and assists the surgeon during operative procedures, ensuring the suite is prepared and supplies are available.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with CST certification from an accredited program.
• Annual CEU requirements to maintain certification.
• Ability to work with surgical team and patients in a high-stakes environment.

Responsibilities

• Check Genesis container and verify sterilization and readiness.
• Test equipment for proper function and availability.
• Assist Circulator in patient positioning and preparation.
• Follow preference cards for opening and in-room supplies.
• Maintain sterile technique and scrub during procedures.
• Notify Circulator of sterilization issues or breaks.
• Ensure case carts are complete and supplies stocked.
