Qualifications

• Associate's Degree with a certification from an accredited Surgical Technician educational program
• Minimum of 15 hours CEU’s annually
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Assists the Circulator and surgeon during operative procedures
• Ensures the operating room is properly prepared for procedures
• Monitors supply levels and maintains PAR levels of instruments and equipment
• Participates in cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments
• Restocks room and ensures case cart is complete
• Demonstrates proper sterile technique and aseptic practices
