Job summary

McLennan County seeks a CSR Program Coordinator to manage community service restitution efforts. You will establish and maintain case files, interview supervisees to assess skills, and assign CSR hours with nonprofit agencies.

You will monitor progress, respond to inquiries, and prepare reports for CSCD leadership. The role requires a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), knowledge of CSR laws, CJAD standards, and ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of laws related to the application of community service restitution.
• Knowledge of CJAD standards regarding community service restitution programs.
• Effective interpersonal skills with offenders, public, and co-workers.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Analytical reasoning to solve problems.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Must provide proof of automobile liability insurance.
• Must have a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains accurate case files through documentation, data entry, and scanning.
• Interviews probationers/defendants on CSR to determine skills and abilities.
• Assigns CSR hours to nonprofit agencies.
• Tracks progress and informs CSOs and participants of progress and completion.
• Monitors and verifies program participation information.
• Responds to telephone inquiries from agencies, probationers/defendants, and CSOs.
• Prepares CSR records and submits records timely.
• Plans and implements special projects with community nonprofits.
• Maintains Reciprocal Agreements with nonprofit agencies.
• Consults with CSOs to determine eligibility.
• Identifies and recruits nonprofit agencies and presents to them.
• Conducts agency site visits;Testifies in court when required.
• Recommends program procedures and policies to CSCD administration.
• Prepares correspondence for participants and CSR providers.
• Prepares and submits statistical reports on CSR hours and fiscal impact.
• Regular attendance and timeliness required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
