Job summary

BFS Foods in Morgantown, WV is hiring a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to provide fast and friendly service to customers. This hourly role reports to the General Manager and may be full or part-time depending on scheduling needs.

The CSR handles duties from assisting customers and checking prices to stocking shelves and operating a computer. The job requires standing, basic math, reading/writing in English, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, understand, and communicate in English.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations when completing store forms.
• Willingness to stand and work up to eight hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stock shelves.

Responsibilities

• Cooperate with and interact in a productive way with fellow employees.
• Be able to work and stand for up to eight hours.
• Read, understand, write, and communicate in English.
• Perform mathematical calculations when completing store forms.
• Check identification and pricing of merchandise.
• Lift, carry and push up to 50 pounds several times per shift.
• Stock shelves and coolers.
• Retrieve merchandise for customers.
• Tolerate exposure to cleaning products and sanitizing solutions.
• Clean windows and change gas price signs.
• Sweep, mop floors, dust shelves, remove trash, and empty bins.
• Clean parking lot and grounds surrounding the store.
• Enter and work in a cooler up to 45 minutes at 36-40°F.
• Enter and work in a freezer up to 10 minutes at 0°F.
• Learn and operate a computer.

Position: Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Reports To: General Manager

A. Primary Purpose of Job:

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for providing fast and friendly service to each customer.

B. Duties and responsibilities for this position:

• Cooperate with and interact in a productive way with fellow employees.
• Be able to work and stand for up to eight hours.
• Be able to read, understand, write, and communicate in the English language.
• Be able to perform mathematical calculations when completing store forms.
• Be able to check identification and pricing of merchandise.
• Be able to lift, carry and push up to 50 pounds, carry milk cartons, bag-in-the-box soft drink containers, etc. several times a shift.
• Be able to stock shelves and coolers.
• Be able to retrieve merchandise for customers.
• Be able to tolerate exposure to cleaning products and sanitizing solutions.
• Be able to clean all windows and change gas price signs.
• Be able to sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, remove and transport trash containers placing them in outside bin.
• Be able to clean the parking lot and grounds surrounding the store.
• Be able to enter and work in a cooler up to 45 minutes at a time, with temperatures of 36-40 degrees.
• Be able to enter and work in freezer up to 10 minutes at a time, at a temperature of 0 degrees.
• Have the ability to learn and work on a computer.

Work Hours

The CSR Position is an hourly position. The work schedule for the position will be the responsibility of the General Manager. There are no guaranteed number of hours per week. This position could be full or part-time. This position requires availability to work on any scheduled shift.
