Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Sterile Processing Certified Technician to join the SPD team in Phoenix.

You will decontaminate, sterilize and assemble instruments for the OR, and maintain documentation to ensure patient safety. Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, completion of an accredited CS/SPD Technician course, and national CSPD/CRCST certification, with 3 years of central sterile experience preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited CS/SPD Technician course is required.
• National CSPD or CRCST certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate instrumentation per manufacturers' recommendations and AAMI standards.
• Assist in assembling case carts and maintaining supplies in O.R. and SPD areas.
• Sterilize instruments and equipment according to IFUs and AAMI standards; document results.
• Communicate instrument needs between OR and SPD and maintain traceability.
• Perform miscellaneous duties related to SPD operations as needed.
