Job summary

Inspira Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble and sterilize instruments for Surgical Services and other departments. You will also clean, assemble and distribute patient care equipment and support departmental operations.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, completion of a Sterile Processing Tech program with 400 hours hands-on SPD experience, and CRCST certification within two years. CIS/CER certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a Sterile Processing Technician Training Program, including 400 hours of hands-on SPD experience.
• CRCST certification required within two years of hire.
• CIS – Certified Instrument Specialist preferred.
• CER – Certified Endoscope Reprocessor preferred.
• Competency in cleaning, disinfecting instruments and packaging instrument trays.
• Experience with autoclaves and high-level disinfection systems.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards (AAMI, CDC, OSHA, DNV, AORN).

Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble and sterilize instruments for Surgical Services and other departments.

• Perform other duties to facilitate departmental operations.
