Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Cardiovascular Surgery ICU team. The role requires direct patient care, adherence to care plans, and collaboration with physicians and families.

Acute care experience and RN licensure are essential, with BLS and ACLS certifications either in place or to be obtained within one year. The position entails day/night rotation, providing compassionate, culturally competent care and facilitating safe discharges while maintaining

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• One year of current acute care RN experience. Military RN experience considered.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire or within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and family with educational materials considering cultural issues and other special concerns.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved nursing protocol.
