UNC Health in Raleigh, NC, is hiring a Clinical Nurse II for the Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU). You will deliver evidence-based critical care to high-acuity postoperative CV surgery patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a 10-bed CSICU.

Ideal candidates hold an NC nursing license with BLS/ACLS, at least 1 year of nursing experience, and a commitment to professional growth within a specialized cardiovascular environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license valid in NC.
• BLS certification; ACLS certification.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in a relevant unit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based critical care to postoperative cardiovascular surgery patients.
• Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced cardiovascular support therapies.
• Provide care for ECMO and other specialized critical care interventions.
• Assess, recognize, and respond rapidly to changing patient conditions.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the recovery process.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects.
• Mentor and support fellow nurses while fostering a positive team environment.
