Job summary

UNC Health's Rex CSICU 5HV in Raleigh, NC seeks a Clinical Nurse II to join a high-acuity cardiovascular surgery stepdown unit. Provide expert nursing care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and support patients and families through recovery.

Ideal candidates hold a current RN license, BLS, and at least one year of acute care experience, with preference for CV, ICU, or telemetry backgrounds and a passion for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• At least one year of acute care nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care for high-acuity cardiovascular surgery patients.
• Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments and monitor changes.
• Manage complex therapies and vasoactive medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists.
• Educate patients and families throughout recovery; participate in quality improvement.
