Qualifications

• Minimum HS Diploma required.
• Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ortho experience preferred.
• Proven experience as a Surgical Assistant with a creative portfolio of surgical accomplishments.
• Strong technical skills in surgical procedures and instrumentation.
• Exceptional artistic and creative abilities with a track record of applying creativity to healthcare.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
• A passion for innovation and a commitment to patient-centered care.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide traditional surgical assistance, including retracting, suturing, and maintaining a sterile field.
• Collaborate with surgeons to develop creative solutions to complex surgical challenges.
• Apply techniques to enhance surgical procedures.
• Contribute innovative ideas to improve patient care, safety, and outcomes.
• Stay current with the latest surgical advancements and creative approaches in healthcare.
• Inspire and mentor colleagues by sharing creative insights and techniques.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards.
• Provide operating room support to physicians and surgeons, including assisting during procedures and passing instruments.
• Comply with HIPAA rules and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff while maintaining privacy.
