Job summary

Trigyn Technologies, Inc. in Albany, NY is seeking a Crystal Reports Developer to work with state agencies and ITS staff. You will analyze existing systems, gather requirements, and design comprehensive Crystal Reports using Oracle SQL.

You will develop documentation, create test cases, execute tests, and track defects while coordinating with the LIMS vendor to ensure accurate data reporting and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 60 months Crystal Reports development experience with complex queries and multiple data sources.
• 60 months experience obtaining and writing business, user and functional requirements, use cases.
• 60 months experience with Oracle Relational Databases.
• 24 months experience with a Lab Information Management System (LIMS).
• 24 months experience using Test Management tools such as ALM/Quality Center.

Job description

Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for Crystal Reports Developer in Albany, NY.

Description:

• Work with end users to review/analyze existing systems, reports and documentation.
• Participate in business user and stakeholder meetings for requirement gathering sessions. This will include but is not limited to the Forensic Investigation Center, Division of Criminal Justice Services, State Police & several areas within the Office of Information Technology Services (security, networking, workstation, architecture and database).
• Develop, write, and maintain a comprehensive requirements document and assist with use case development when required. All documents will be done according to ITS standards.
• Analyze, design, develop and document technical solutions utilizing Crystal Reports and Oracle/SQL queries. This will include but not limited to creating report designs, data mapping documents and configuration changes.
• Participate in the development and updating of Test cases/scripts
• Execute tests and record results. This will also include recording and tracking of defects.
• Interact with ITS staff, Forensic Lab staff and the LIMS vendor as necessary to determine and implement functional and technical requirements
• Participate in status meetings and provide monthly reports.
• Provide knowledge transfer to state staff in order to implement and support technical solutions.
• Work closely with the project manager and functional manager to ensure timely deliverables.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Creates computer software. May specialize in one area of computer software or may write code for many kinds of software.
• Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education.
• 60 months Crystal Reports development experience based on complex queries (using multiple data sources and defining relationships between different pieces of data) and results.
• 60 months experience supporting user applications and working with clients to identify system issues and improvements for functionality
• 24 months experience working with a Lab Information Management System
• 60 months experience in obtaining and writing business, user and functional requirements, use cases, creating mock reports and workflows
• 60 months experience working with an Oracle Relational Databases.
• 60 months system design experience
• 24 Months experience using Test Management tools such as ALM/Quality Center.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Natural Sciences, or related field. (Please include relevant documentation)
