Job summary

CTI personnel are Navy linguists and intelligence professionals responsible for collecting, translating, transcribing and analyzing foreign language communications. They support Fleet and Joint Force commanders worldwide in diverse operational environments.

CTIs work with advanced communications, AI and machine learning systems, and may perform temporary duty aboard ships and submarines based on assignment requirements. Applicants must be U.S. citizens with Top Secret clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Successful CTI candidates should demonstrate strong character and attention to detail.
• Interest in learning foreign languages and ability to adapt to different environments.
• Above-average writing and speaking ability for clear, concise reporting.
• Good memory, curiosity and resourcefulness applicable to intelligence work.

Responsibilities

• Operate advanced radio receivers, recording devices, computer terminals and communications systems.
• Translate, interpret and transcribe foreign language communications data.
• Analyze and report highly technical intelligence for fleet commanders and national agencies.
• Work with classified material and advanced AI/ML systems.
