Job summary

FRA seeks a Subject Matter Expert in cryptocurrency for its Cryptocurrency Investigations and Compliance team. You will conduct advanced crypto investigations, trace funds using analytics, and advise clients on AML, sanctions, and related regulatory requirements.

The role supports technology-driven financial crime investigations and industry leadership. The position emphasizes collaboration with engagement teams, staying current with FinCEN/FFIEC CFRs, and contributing to pitches and training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of relevant cryptocurrency industry experience.
• Experience in cryptocurrency and traditional money laundering investigations, including flow of funds analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, cyber forensics, finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cryptocurrency and blockchain investigations, including flow of funds investigations, fraud schemes, asset misappropriation, market manipulation, and sanctions evasion.
• Leverage blockchain analytics to perform transaction tracing to determine the source, destination and use of funds.
• Communicate results with clients and colleagues in written and oral form, including drafting reports and presentations.
• Assist in developing cryptocurrency investigation and compliance training for the FRA team.
• Support business development and proposals with research and thought leadership.
