Job summary

SoFi is seeking a Crypto AML & Sanctions Advisor to provide expert compliance support for our digital asset products. You will work with Compliance, Product, Engineering, Investigations, and leadership to mitigate crypto-related financial crime risks while ensuring regulatory alignment.

You will help develop and maintain AML and sanctions programs across the crypto ecosystem, monitor evolving typologies, and assist with regulatory examinations and risk management activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 8+ years in AML/sanctions or financial crime risk management, with crypto/digital assets experience.
• Strong understanding of crypto products and blockchain-based services.
• Knowledge of digital asset risks including money laundering and sanctions.

Responsibilities

• Act as Crypto AML & Sanctions advisor to Crypto Compliance Officer and cross-functional teams.
• Provide AML and sanctions guidance across crypto product lifecycle (trading, custody, wallets, stablecoins, staking).
• Assess blockchain-specific financial crime risks and recommend controls (KYT, screening, Travel Rule).
• Collaborate with Compliance, Product, Engineering, and Operations on new products and asset changes to implement controls.
• Develop and enhance crypto AML/sanctions policies, risk assessments, and governance frameworks.
• Stay updated on regulatory developments and industry best practices; propose enhancements.
