Job summary

Chart Industries, Inc. seeks an experienced mechanical engineer to design and validate HLH2 vehicle fuel systems from concept through installation. You will create 3D models, analyze with FEA, and develop drawings for components and assemblies, coordinating with teams in the US and Europe.

Responsibilities include testing support, DFMEA/DVP&R activities, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949. Strong communication and a collaborative mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in heavy truck/automotive OEM supply or similar.
• Proficient with 3D modeling tools and design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and support HLH2 vehicle fuel systems.
• Create multiple design iterations using 3D CAD software.
• Perform FEA and vibration/shock analyses; conduct crash simulations.
• Develop 2D drawings and 3D models for components and assemblies.
• Coordinate with suppliers and Product Engineer on specifications.
• Support testing, DFMEA/DVP&R activities and ISO/IATF compliance.
• Provide engineering data for customer inquiries and internal teams.
