Job summary

Chart Industries, Inc. seeks a mechanical engineer to support design, testing and validation of cryogenic equipment at our New Prague, MN site. You will review specs, set up experiments, collect data and report results to project teams.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, and may travel up to 10% within the US and Europe. A BS in engineering and 3+ years of lab experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering (mechanical preferred) or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant engineering and test experience.
• Motivated, independent self-starter.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Strong data management, processing, and analysis.
• Experience with experiment methodology and laboratory procedures.
• Hands-on capabilities up to 50% lab setup and configuring.

Responsibilities

• Review product specifications and research test methods.
• Instrument products to acquire real world service conditions.
• Prepare test specimens and assemble prototype parts.
• Set up and perform experiments based on project requirements.
• Install test instruments and wiring.
• Document methods and results in technical reports.
• Propose design changes based on test data results.
