Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned software leader to design, develop, and optimize aerospace software systems while building the enterprise UI component library for SNC web applications.

You will operate the private package registry, create templates, and enhance the Internal Developer Portal, developing SDKs and platform libraries for SNC infrastructure. This role requires collaboration in an agile environment and the ability to work in a hybrid US setting with periodic travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in software development.
• Advanced proficiency in C++, Java, or Python.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, with React preferred.
• Experience building component libraries, design systems, or internal developer tooling.
• Familiarity with developer portal frameworks such as Backstage, Port, Cortex, or equivalent.
• Experience with package registry management using Nexus, Artifactory, GitHub Packages, or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel.
• Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for required authorizations.

Requirements

• Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, with React preferred
• Proficiency in at least one backend language: Python, Go, or Java
• Experience building component libraries, design systems, or internal developer tooling preferred
• Familiarity with developer portal frameworks such as Backstage, Port, Cortex, or equivalent preferred
• Experience with package registry management using Nexus, Artifactory, GitHub Packages, or equivalent preferred
• Ability to work on a computer for extended periods
• Hand/finger dexterity for coding and testing
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel
• Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce
