Job summary

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases, a leader in cryogenic pumps and process systems, seeks a Director of Operations to oversee manufacturing and drive efficiency, safety, and on-time delivery across global sites.

You will develop strategies, manage budgets, mentor a large production team, and collaborate with engineering, design, and sales to meet customer requirements while improving quality and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Management, or related field.
• 10+ years in manufacturing leadership, preferably in the rotating equipment industry.
• Knowledge of cryogenic pump manufacturing and related processes.
• Proven track record of improving efficiency, productivity and profitability.
• Experience managing budgets and controlling expenses.
• Strong regulatory, environmental and safety compliance knowledge.
• Lean manufacturing expertise.
• Knowledge of quality control systems and procedures.
• Experience with global manufacturing operations.
• Hands-on Six Sigma / problem solving experience.
• Project planning/management experience preferred.
• Effective communication with senior management.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Experience leading multi-site teams.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability of cryogenic pumps.
• Ensure manufacturing operations comply with safety and environmental regulations.
• Develop and manage the annual manufacturing budget and monitor expenses.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance margins.
• Manage and mentor a large team of manufacturing professionals.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and sales to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and outsourcing partners.
• Develop and implement consistent processes, policies, and goals.
• Work with product management, engineering and project management to meet company goals.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing engagement of high-performance team members.
• Monitor KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, cost, cash and people.
• Address escalated customer issues with speed and urgency.
• Identify and remove obstacles to on-time delivery with right quality.
