Job summary

Blue Origin in Merritt Island, FL is seeking a Launch Engineer to ensure ground systems are ready for flight. You will develop ground software requirements, write sequencer code, and help create controller panels.

You will have the opportunity to earn certification as a launch controller, operate your assigned systems on launch day, determine anomaly causes during time-critical operations, and perform post-flight data reviews and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.S. degree in Engineering, Science, or Math.
• 1+ year of demonstrated technical expertise in cryogenic, propellant handling, or engine systems.
• Strong operations planning and organizational skills.
• Effective technical communications capabilities.
• Ability to support occasional off-shift work schedules.

Responsibilities

• Develop ground software requirements, write sequencer code, and help create controller panels.
• Ensure launch vehicle and ground systems are prepared for flight.
• Earn certification as a launch controller and operate assigned systems on launch day.
• Determine and correct anomaly causes and perform post-flight data reviews.
