Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Fluids Analyst to support the Cryogenic Propellant Distribution and Mass Gauging on the MK2 Crew Lander, working through the full development lifecycle from design to on-console operation.

You will collaborate with NASA and National Team Partners in the Human Landing System program to develop the MK2 Crewed Lunar Lander for sustained lunar presence. The role emphasizes thermo-fluids modeling, propulsion system fluids integration, and cryogenic fluid management.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of thermal/fluids analysis experience.
  • Proficiency using common CFD tools such as Thermal Desktop or Sinda/Fluint.
  • Understanding of Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, and Thermodynamics.
  • Hands-on experience with first-order and Excel-level fluids calculations.
  • Desired: Expertise in Thermal Desktop.
  • Experience with LH2 and/or LOX.
  • Experience supporting propulsion system ground testing.
  • Experience with propellant mass gauging.
  • Experience with cryogenic propellant distribution.
  • CFD expertise (ANSYS Fluent, FLOW3D).
  • Experience with cryogenic, multi-phase, or gaseous fluid systems.
  • Spacecraft, space vehicle or launch vehicle fluid systems experience.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and run thermo-fluids models of cryogenic propellant.
  • Work with a cross functional team to advance the state of the art of in space cryogenic fluid management in propulsion systems.
