Job summary

Axelon Services Corporation is seeking an experienced operator for a cryogenic Air Separation Unit in Fremont, CA. You will maintain plant production, monitor safety, and optimize operations to maximize efficiency.

This role requires hands-on maintenance, interpretation of technical drawings, and adherence to environmental and quality standards. The position is onsite, lasting 12 months with 40 hours per week and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of technical college or military technical experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years operating an Air Separation Plant or related industrial experience.
• Critical thinking to troubleshoot and diagnose plant equipment issues.
• Proficiency with hand tools and test equipment for mechanical, electrical, and electronic repairs.
• Ability to work overtime, off shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a cryogenic Air Separation Unit (ASU) maintaining plant production and operating efficiency.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards are met.
• Monitor and maintain safe operations of the Air Separation Facility producing cryogenic products.
• Control flow purities and pressures using SCADA/HMI/PLC systems.
• Work with management to maximize production and efficiency.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Perform quality assurance functions and maintain accurate records.
• Identify potential problems and determine maintenance actions.
• Perform complex plant functions including DERIME and warm plant start-ups.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair process and system problems.
• Engage in safety and regulatory compliance activities.
• Assist with safety incident investigations.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and quality assurance systems.
