Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Cryocooler Technician in Goleta, CA. The role focuses on precision mechanical assembly for the cryocooler production line, plus cleaning, documenting, and testing parts, subassemblies, and finished goods with production tooling and tracking systems.

The position requires strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to interpret manuals and blueprints.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer proficiency, including navigating Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
• Must be able to use a microscope to visually inspect small parts, up to 8 hours a day.
• Must be able to use small hand tools like tweezers, hex keys, and probes/picks.
• Must be able to use hands to move and assemble very small parts and fastening devices.
• Must be able to read, interpret, and work from equipment manuals, blueprints or sketches.
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively using the English language.
• Able to sit or stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours a day.
• Able to lift or carry up to 25 lbs., unassisted.
• Able to push or pull up to 50 lbs., unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision mechanical assembly and adhesive application following work instructions
• Perform measurements and execute test procedures; accurately record and document results
• Perform data entry for travelers and work-in-progress (WIP) tracking systems
• Assist Engineering in developmental processes, as necessary
• Several cleaning operations
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
