Job summary

Teledyne seeks a Cryocooler Technician to perform precision mechanical assembly on the cryocooler production line, and to handle cleaning, documentation, and testing of parts, subassemblies, and finished goods. This role uses production tooling, computers, and specialized equipment for production and material/WIP tracking.

You will identify discrepant material and collaborate with coworkers, managers, and engineering.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer proficiency (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Must use a microscope to inspect small parts (up to 8 hours/day).
• Must use small hand tools (tweezers, hex keys, probes/picks).
• Read, interpret, and work from equipment manuals, blueprints or sketches.
• Able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Able to sit or stand for long periods (up to 8 hours/day).
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
• Able to push or pull up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision mechanical assembly and adhesive application following work instructions
• Perform measurements and execute test procedures; record and document results
• Perform data entry for travelers and WIP tracking systems
• Assist Engineering in developmental processes as necessary
• Several cleaning operations
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
