Job summary

Bluefors Cryocooler Technologies, Inc. in Syracuse, NY is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Associate – Clean/Test to assemble, fabricate and test Cryocooler products, troubleshoot equipment, and document results to meet performance specs.

The role requires reading mechanical drawings and blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and following SOPs and safety rules. You will help maintain a safe, organized manufacturing environment and contribute to ongoing quality improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and training documents.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to use and understand precision measuring tools and devices.
• Basic understanding of mechanical principles.
• Basic math skills including fractions and decimals.
• Ability to distinguish colors (black, yellow, red, green, blue).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to follow procedures and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fabricate and replace components as required.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Review production schedules, work orders, test manuals, specifications, wiring diagrams and schematics to determine testing procedures and equipment.
• Verify that work orders reflect latest revisions before testing.
• Perform assigned tests accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate progress and updates to Supervisor or Manager.
• Follow all plant safety requirements and SOPs.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
