Job summary

Montana Materials & Construction, a CRH Company, seeks a Crusher Plant Operator in Helena, MT to manage production and load-out of materials, ensuring efficient plant operation and minor maintenance. Weld/cut skills are a plus, and the role involves data entry, safety, and adherence to schedules.

The position requires the ability to read and interpret instructions, maintain records, and work well within a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write correspondences and memos.
• Must have a current and valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of inventory and order processing systems; uses job specific computer system for ticketing and two way radio communications.

Responsibilities

• Read work schedules and determine sequence of operations.
• Operate plant according to production schedule using appropriate materials.
• Monitor material operation to ensure quality of mix.
• Perform basic maintenance and service on plant as required.
• Welding/ cutting torch skills preferred.
• Clean control house and yard daily.
• Enter production information into computer systems.
• May be subject to drug testing and physical agility testing.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Locate utilities and other buried lines before digging.
• Keep time and material records.
