Job summary

Washington Mills in North Grafton, MA is hiring a Crusher Building Operator for a full-time hourly role. You will monitor and operate crushing and screening equipment, feed materials, and ensure safe, efficient production.

The position runs Monday to Thursday from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM, with occasional Friday hours and a 90‑day probation period. Overtime is occasional; benefits and a robust compensation package are offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to work from an elevated platform and monitor equipment from basement, stairs and ladder.
• Basic computer skills and ability to perform simple arithmetic.
• Mechanical inclination with ability to use common hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate crushing and screening equipment.
• Load raw materials into the feed tank and operate the primary crusher.
• Perform routine equipment checks and replace worn parts as needed.
• Clean floors, platforms, and catwalks each shift with an industrial vacuum.
• Move and organize drums and sacks of abrasive grain.
• Attend to dust collectors and manage discharge sacks when full.
• Conduct material sampling and deliver samples to the lab.
• Move tailings to the metal dumpster and conduct chain hoist inspections.
• Maintain housekeeping and address leaks or issues during shift.
