Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking an entry-level Purchasing Assistant in Salisbury, MD to schedule and order provisions for our U.S. based cruise ships. You will coordinate with vendors, track delivery timelines, and ensure on-time fulfillment while maintaining budget adherence.

In this role you will communicate with shipboard staff to resolve issues, process invoices, and support procurement processes in a fast-paced maritime environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain management preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Must be able to commute daily to Salisbury, MD.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and process weekly supply orders for assigned vessels, ensuring on-time fulfillment.
• Coordinate closely with vendors to confirm product availability, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
• Serve as the primary liaison between onboard staff and suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve any order or delivery issues.
• Monitor and help maintain budget adherence for each vessel’s purchasing activities.
• Review and process vendor invoices accurately and promptly.
