Hornblower is seeking an experienced bartender to deliver high-quality beverages aboard the cruise fleet. You will provide hospitable service, follow recipes precisely, and maintain bar cleanliness while handling POS transactions and guest inquiries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required.
• At least one year of bartending experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of beverage recipes.
• Strong customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Maintain a high level of organization, detail orientation and meet deadlines.
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by job responsibility.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Able to convey written and verbal information to guests and coworkers.
• Maintain professional appearance as per standards.
• Must be available for nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and coworkers as prescribed in Our RESPECT Service System.
• Accurately follow recipes for all beverages; knowledge of offerings and prices.
• Provide prompt and consistent bar service to guests and servers.
• Set up and break down bar; stock per par specifications; clean bar per SOPs.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the bar and all areas and equipment.
• Accurately charge guests for onboard purchases; enter orders in POS; handle payment and change.
• Provide information on beverages, food menu descriptions, entertainment options, cruise routes and points of interest.
• Additional job duties assigned.
